Here’s what one of my students, Alek L., said after our 2-hour consultation:
"I have been using Premiere for many years now, but have struggled with some basic questions and concepts such as the Media Cache and Media Cache Database settings, or how to find certain shortcuts to speed up my editing, and I was truly curious about the best practices for editing tasks that are repeated on a daily basis. There are many education videos on YouTube and other platforms out there, but I was never able to find satisfactory answers to my specific questions.
That is why I chose Piotr, as I've seen a number of his education videos in which he succinctly explains editing topics of interest, and I just thought of giving it a try with him. In addition, I chose him as I have already been employing the tips and techniques I learned from his tutorial videos, such as a number of shortcuts that help me quickly cut and close gaps in the timeline. Of course, it helped that he advertised that he was available for one on one consultations.
When we finally met one on one, Piotr was very patient and took time to understand my questions, and then explained them to me in a very clear and concise manner, sharing his screen and showing me how he does things. The best part of all was his employment of an AI-note taking tool that took notes and digested all the topics we discussed, so right after the meeting ended, I got a great set of notes in my inbox, arranged by topics and key takeaways.
As a result of our consultation, now I know to keep Media Cache and Media Cache Database on a separate HD from my editing HD. I am also employing a new keyboard shortcut for enabling and disabling a clip that Piotr helped me assign (which I use all the time, but I could not figure out how to do it on my own, despite my knowledge on how to assign other shortcuts). He also pointed me out to iZotope RX, which has breath control tools for dampening breaths - something I need to utilize all the time."
After the session, you’ll leave with clarity, practical takeaways, and a structured set of notes so you don’t have to worry about missing anything we discussed.
